YOUTH CAMP UPDATE - February 2012

Youth Camp continues to fill! Enrollment is 20% higher than this time last year. Waiting lists have begun for Girls’ Waterski and Beach Weeks, as well as Boys’ Roughin’ It. Spaces are dwindling for certain other weeks, so do not delay if you hope to make Youth Camp a part of your kid’s summer in 2012.

Some folks have asked what alternative there is if space is fully booked during their favorite week of Overnight Youth Camp. We are always thrilled to suggest that parents consider signing their children up as Family Day Campers*. When parents come as our guests for a week of Family Camp, then their children can sign up to attend Youth Camp while staying in their family’s accommodations. Kids participate in everything that Overnight Youth Camp offers except for sleeping in a Youth Camp cabin.

If you thought that Christian camping is just kids’ stuff, then think again! While your Family Day Campers have fun with their cabin, you’re doing anything but sitting around… unless it’s reading a great book or relaxing on the shores of pristine Lake Spofford. We offer great messages from gifted speakers every morning, plenty of opportunities to visit with old and newfound friends, and NO COOKING with three fabulous meals each day. Kids not enrolled in our Youth Camp have age-appropriate activities throughout the mornings and on occasional afternoons. Give us a call! We’d love to provide you with more information.

*This is possible for every session of Youth Camp save for Waterski Week. Age restrictions apply to all sessions.

PS - If we have enough girls sign up for Beach Week’s wait list, there is a chance that we will add an extra cabin, so those on the wait list, don’t lose heart!
