The 25th Annual Camp Spofford Golf Classic was held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at the New Jersey National Golf Club in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.  We had a great time playing on a prestigious course and having great fellowship, prizes, fun and laughter.  We are thankful for the continued opportunity to raise funds for the Camper Scholarship Fund through this annual event.  We are also thankful for the support of Empire Golf for their continued support of our golf outings and in hosting our events.

We are looking forward to the Annual Golf Classic in May of 2018! More information to come!

We look forward to seeing you next year,
The 2017 Golf Classic Committee

Since 1997 the Camper Scholarship Fund, established through the Golf Classic, has assisted in providing full and partial scholarships to families who could not afford to send their children to camp for a week. Over 400 scholarships have been presented since the development of this fund. Because of this, many kids were able to encounter the “Spofford Experience,” encompassing the presentation of the Word of God and plan of salvation, as well as His love through the beauty of His creation and Camp’s Staff.

You are certainly welcome to donate to the Camper Scholarship fund without having to participate in the Golf Outing!  This can be done by clicking on   DONATEYou can set up a one-time, monthly or annual donation. (All financial contributions are tax-deductible.)

It is exhilarating to see, read and hear of the impact this ministry has had on the hearts and lives of campers made available through this program. This has been made evident through personal phone calls, the exchange of letters, and school presentations following the camp experience.

The first Camp Spofford Golf Classic was held in the spring of 1991 with a group of 40 individuals who gathered together for Christ-Centered fellowship, fun, and encouragement in their Christian walk. Since its inception, the Golf Classic has grown consistently in participants and outreach, and for the past 5 years averaged 132 players each year, providing Christian Fellowship with a purpose.

As the Camp Spofford Golf Classic continues to grow, our goals have remained consistent throughout:

  • To provide an atmosphere and time of Christian Fellowship through the interaction of golf
  • To provide a format for Christians to invite non-Christians as an outreach
  • To share with others the ministry of Camp Spofford
  • To provide funding for the Camper Scholarship Fund

IMG_1764This golf event is held primarily to raise funds for our Camper Scholarship Fund.  Kids who want to attend summer camp cannot always afford it, and we receive many phone calls and letters from parents asking for financial help.  So this is why we golf!

We encourage you to sponsoring this event, whether corporately or personally.  We have many levels of Sponsorship to help underwrite the Camper Scholarship Fund.  We also can use gift item, food baskets, and gift certificates to be raffled off at our Golf Classic.  Call the office (603-363-4788) if you have anything that you would like to donate.
