For those of you coming to Family Camp week 3 (July 18-25), a speaker new to most of us will be here. Greg Carlson will join us from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois. Here’s a little bio about Greg for all of you who will be here that week.
Donna and Greg
So who is Greg?
I am a Professor of Christian Ministries at Trinity International University. I am also an author, youth and family ministry consultant, pastor, and seminar leader living in the Chicago area. My wife Donna and I are the proud parents of 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law.
What’s your background?
I was born in Sioux City, Iowa, but call Nebraska (where I grew up) my home state. I was introduced to the Lord by my parents at the age of 10, and found in Jesus Christ a life-long Friend and Savior. That commitment was strengthened during a 9 month recuperation from a severe farm accident during high school.

What do you do in your spare time when you’re not teaching and writing?

What are you passionate about these days?
I’m passionate about following Christ, loving Donna and family well, developing leaders for service and ministry, and teaching the Word of God creatively. I’m also involved with Awana Lifeline, the Malachi Dads/Hannah’s Gift ministry to incarcerated parents.
What will you be speaking about during Week 3?
The life of David. As we learn about him, his family problems, and his issues, we can grow in our own life in Christ, face the issues that confront us, and gain the victory!
